Synopsis
High up in the night sky lives Twinkle, the shiniest and cheekiest little star in the whole galaxy. While the other stars work hard each night, Twinkle is always disappearing and playing tricks. When she goes missing yet again, the others wonder where she could be (OH, TWINKLE).
Then exciting news arrives: a special Baby, Jesus the Son of God, is about to be born in Bethlehem. Big Star is assigned to guide the Three Wise Men to the stable where the Baby will be born, but decides that Twinkle has been too mischievous and can’t help. Instead, she is sent to bed while the other stars watch for the Wise Men.
Meanwhile, the men are riding across the desert on their camels, searching for the great star that will guide them. They ride on through the night, but the star they need is nowhere to be seen (LOOKING FOR A STAR).
The stars keep watch from the sky, but they can’t see the Wise Men. Big Star sets off to search for them himself. Twinkle, feeling sorry for her earlier behaviour, secretly follows him. As Big Star searches high and low through the night sky, he begins to worry that he will never find the men (LOOKING FOR THE KINGS).
Suddenly, Twinkle hears voices in the distance. She discovers three worried men desperately searching for a guiding star. Twinkle rushes back to tell Big Star, and the Wise Men can finally begin their journey to Bethlehem. Now forgiven for her mischief, Twinkle helps Big Star guide the men to the stable where the Baby lies (FOLLOW US).
Along the way, they meet shepherds and angels who are also hurrying to see the Newborn Child. At last, they arrive at the stable where Mary and Joseph are watching over Baby Jesus. As the Wise Men present their gifts, the sky fills with hundreds, thousands and millions of shining stars celebrating the wonderful moment (SHINING ON A STABLE).
Twinkle has never been so happy. She helped Big Star find the Wise Men, and now all the stars have gathered to see Baby Jesus. Together, they invite everyone to come and share the joy of that special night in Bethlehem (COME TO THE STABLE).
